Lest We Forget

I want to say thank you to everyone in the Armed Services who gave their life and limbs to keep us free.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Today is a very bittersweet day for me. My father, who proudly served his country for 20 years in the Air Force and then another 20 years as a civil servant is losing his battle with Altzheimers. This devestating disease has robbed him of family and friends. Although he has forgotten, he will not BE forgotten. Love you Daddy!
