Mrs. Giggles on Crystal Clear

Well -- Mrs. Giggles reviewed Crystal Clear. I'll just say that she was less than impressed with my tale. You can read her review here.

Ericka, hope you're not letting this one get to you. I have major problems with Mrs. Giggles with regards to missing important plot points, details etc. Just remember it's all her own opinion. A book of mine she gave a 53 to got 4 angels from Fallen Angels. There's no accounting for taste.

Poo on Mrs. Giggles! I can't quite figure out what exactly she likes or why she likes it anyway most of the time...altho she is fun to read for the snark.

And you know what? Lucky you---you got far enough in your writing journey to actually get pubbed and get a tepid review. Congratulations---I'm jealous!

Hugs! Thank God Mrs. Giggles has never reviewed any of my books....

To be quite honest, I didn't expect a glowing review. She's just one reader. . . (an impressive reader at that if she really reads everything she reviews. . .whew!)

I went through some of La Nora's reviews (and I lurve most of La Nora's current workds) and she got mostly 70s. Some of her straight contemp. romances got lower scores than mine!

Thanks for the head's up about this, Ericka! I had no idea she'd reviewed our eBooks.

And don't worry about it. :) I think it's still a cool score.

I don't really get Mrs. Giggles' either - except to say, she definitely has her tastes and they definitely are different from mine.

But you have such a great attitude, Ericka. It's all part of the joy of being a pubbed author, I suppose! Hope I get so lucky as to be 'flushed' by Mrs. Giggles one day.

Don't let her review bother you - I can't figure out what she likes or doesn't like, she seems very random with her scores.

Let's just hope this gives you a boost in sales! That would be nice (this is me trying to find the positive). :)

Hey, at least she didn't call your book a "total waste of time" like she did mine! But you know, she's a person with her own taste and that's all there is to it. Shrug. You can't make everyone happy, you really can't.

Mrs. Giggles is like a rite of passage so welcome to the club! :)

Ah... don't worry. She's a tough one to please. Heh!

Oh wow, she just never minces words does she!?! Hmmmm, I never read other peoples reviews unless someone like you tells me to go read their review... I wonder if others are like me. I simply decide on my own and dislike having 'reviewers' tell me what to think. Keep that in mind!

Hey, Ericka, you should feel FABULOUS. I see she gave Loretta Chase's latest three fewer points than _Crystal Clear_. Loretta Chase is a multi-pubbed goddess (though I haven't read her most recent, to be honest).

So, I say, rock on.

Meanwhile, I live in terror of reviews. Getting something published is all well and good until you realize it means anyone willing to spend the /insert dollar amount here for your book can read it and have an opinion. Yikes!
